The Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, Dr Chidi Lloyd on Monday inspected the process of work at the Police Station being constructed opposite the Emohua campus of the Rivers State University along the Emohua-Kalabari Road by Emohua Local Government Council.
Recall that the Governor of Rivers State, H.E Nyesom Ezenwo Wike had during the commissioning of the Rivers State University campus in Emohua directed the council chairman to construct a Police Station opposite the University Campus but the council chairman had instead conceptualized a storey building to serve as the Divisional Police Headquarters in the LGA Headquarters to improve security within the communities in the LGA Headquarters and its environs, as well as the formally troubled Emohua-Kalabari Road.
It might also interest you to know that the Local Government Headquarters never had a police station since its creation in 1991, apart from the Anti-cultism Unit situated opposite the Emohua Central Market along the East-West Road.
